In response to an earlier question about setting up running headers in WP5.1, here's what I do: First set up a *paired* style in the document, defining how the heading will look. Put in any codes desired to format the header. You *can* use lines, character draws, page numbers, or graphics. You *can't* use anything (like a text box) in which you imbed information which changes from document section to section (If you do, this idea won't work the way you want it to). The text (or other info) which changes by section will go where the [comment] code appears, but later. NOTE... DO NOT put in any [Page Header] codes. Having defined a format, define a header, possibly by SHIFT-F8,P,H,A,P. In the *blank* header screen, start the header style with Alt-F8,<select with cursor>,O. Then type your header text between the [Style On] and [Style Off], and EXIT from the header edit screen. Since the headers now all contain [Style On]<your text>[Style Off], you can reformat all of them by editing the style codes. To change the text content of an individual header, you use the header edit screen. Andy Brush [Sverdrup Technology] 216-826-6770
