[comp.text] Converting Mac Word --> PC Word For Windows

    I have several large documents which I am converting from
    MS Word (on the Mac) to MS Work for Windows (on the PC).
    I have tried using the RTF format as the intermediate
    format but I have run into several problems.

       1) Some heading are missing

       2) Lines of text are red.

       3) Text is missing (which is just after a second level index 
	  marking).

    Has anyone else run into similar problems?  What is the best method
    for moving the Mac Word --> PC WFW files?  BTW, the documents total
    several hundred pages, so a simple re-edit is non-trivial.
