We are looking into support for IEEE-488 (GPIB/HP-IB) on 4.2BSD.
In particular, we'd like to hear about 4.2 drivers for the many
different boards available for the many different bus architectures.
We'd be willing to retarget either commercially or publicly available
software if the match isn't perfect.
In addition, we'd be interested in hearing about any GPIB applications
software suitable for use with laboratory instrumentation currently
running under either 4.2BSD or System V.
We're aware of IEEE-488 boards from National Instruments, Mizar, Motorola,
and several others but on the software side, it's slim pickings.
For those interested, I'll provide a summary of what's out there.
Thanks,
Peter Shaw

I just had one here for demo & was impressed with their gpib implementation. -tcs Terry Slattery U.S. Naval Academy 301-267-4413 ARPA: tcs@brl-bmd UUCP: decvax!brl-bmd!usna!tcs
