[net.periphs] odd screws

An interesting quote from the Hewlett-Packard Journal, near the end of
an article on the ThinkJet printer:

Inquisitive readers owning an HP 2225 Printer may also
wonder why we use the "funny" screw heads that are making
it difficult for you to disassemble your printer. The
screw drive system was chosen to minimize the strain on
operators who do the same action for eight hours a day.
In this case, Torx[TM] drive heads have been found to
minimize the possibility of repetitive motion injuries
	and operator fatigue.

Ink-Jet Printer Family", HPJ May 1985.

These are the same type of screws that COMPAQ uses on the Deskpro line
(and possibly others). What's wrong with Phillips screws and electric drivers?

What are the Thinkjets like anyway? Are they really Epson compatible?

Torx[tm] screws are commonly used to hold in headlamps, etc on the
newer cars. Therefore the screwdrivers are available from most
auto supply houses, and many places which sell tools. They most often
come in sets with sizes like T-15, T20, etc.
