I'm considering buying a Canon PC (that's a copier, not a computer). Sorry if this mailing list/newsgroup doesn't quite fit but I don't know which do. I'm debating between the PC 14, 20, 24, and 25. As I understand it, the 14/24 don't use a paper tray for the blank paper, but instead have modified the single sheet feeder to accept a stack of up to 50 blank sheets. This arrangement seems likely to jam to me, and sticks out the side, but it saves 20 or 30 dollars and the salesman claims it never jams and is works better than the tray based 20/25. The claim is that this new version is preferred by Canon. Does anyone have any experience with the 14 or 24 or any recommendations? Is it true that the 14 and 20 are comparable, and the 24 and 25 are comparable, except for the way they feed blank paper? How do the 12 and 22 fit in? Is the only advantage to the 24/25 that it does reductions and enlargements and legal size? Does it seem worth $300 extra? I can find a 14 or 20 for around $650, a 24 or 25 for around $900, and cartridges for around $60. Is there somewhere else I should be looking for a better price? Mark mark@Berkeley cbosgd!mark
