I am a great fan of the sf/fantasy author Michael Moorcock, and have thus developed some interest in the group Hawkwind. Is anyone out there intimately familiar with Hawkwind, and can you tell me about them? Also, on the soundtrack for the movie 'Heavy Metal', is a song by Blue Oyster Cult titled 'Veteran of the Psychic Wars', and the credits list a Michael Moorcock as being responsible for the lyrics. What lends further credence to this being THE Michael Moorcock is that the lyrics mention '... where the winds of limbo blow'; the Winds of Limbo is the title of one of Moorcock's novels! Can anyone verify or refute this? Are there any other groups and/or songs out there in which Moorcock has a hand? You are welcome to respond either directly to me or to post it on the net.
