Here's the problem: A Toshiba P1340 printer was purchased for the institute where I work. Those who purchased it assumed it would print the higher ASCII codes (192 - ??) automatically. Well, it doesn't, and everybody here wants it to. (We've got some statisticians and the like who need Greek symbols, etc.) I already know of some software solutions to this problem (e.g., Fancy Font) but I hear they're fairly slow. We have an IBMPC-AT. Are there any easy hardware solutions to this problem? I was hoping that there was an interface to go between the computer and printer which would translate characters for the P1340. If anybody has any ideas on this, I'd really be glad to hear them. If so, either call or post a re: to this group on the net or send a response to me through bitnet. Thanks in advance! ------- --- SCOTT R.
