[net.periphs] Picking a Fuji disk drive

What about reliability? In-the-field track record, mind you, not arbitrary
specsmanship on a data sheet! Performance is not the only reason why
everyone buys Eagles. As far as we're concerned, the performance is just
a nice extra.

It's all foreign-made to me, since I'm not aware of any Canadian disk
manufacturers. (None that I'd want to buy from, anyway.) I have no
loyalty to North American manufacturers who want to use their location
as an excuse for making inferior products. This is not to imply that
Century's disks are no good -- I have no experience with them either way --
but it would be sensible of Century to realize that they have an uphill
battle to fight in convincing people that their drives are as good as
the Japanese ones. And saying "you should buy ours, because they're
American" is not going to help one bit; that just reminds people of the
relative reputations for reliability!

Now, if Century offered, say, a one-year warranty rather than the usual
90 days, *that* would say a lot about their confidence in their product.
