[net.periphs] portable dumb terminal?

henry@utzoo.UUCP (Henry Spencer) (07/06/86)

I second Henry Schaffer's recommendation of the Model 100 as a portable
terminal. Our hardware man looked for such a thing for years; when the
Model 100 came out, he bought one and stopped looking. Sure, it would
be nice if it had a larger screen, but the one it's got is highly legible
(not something one can say about most of the larger ones!) and the extra
utility of a larger screen probably wouldn't be worth the price for a
troubleshooting application. It's cheap, you can get it serviced almost
anywhere, the keyboard is decent, and it has other uses as well.
