Can't provide any background on the group, but I have
their albums, and would be willing to comment on them if
desired.  Fresh Aire #1-3 are the best, both for pressings
(direct to disk mastering) and for composition.  #4 is digital
mastered, which is somewhat inferior, and the music seems to
have been rather hastily hacked out of the prior albums.

Ron Cooley's "Daydreams" is pretty nice, too.

The very latest album (the one with the silver cover, can't recall the
name) is just a "best of" album, with no new material.

I do not believe that Fresh Aire I - III are direct to disk albums.  There
is no mention on any of the albums of how they were recorded or mastered.
It is my understanding that these are exceptionally well produced and mastered
standard technology recordings.  They would be unexceptional direct to disk
recordings.
