I have been playing REMO pinstripe drumheads for about 18 months now and was hoping that someone on the net could steer me towards another drumhead manufacturer who makes oil-filled drum heads. The heads have held up poorly compared to the REMO weather king heads I had been playing. The reason I went to the pinstripe heads is because they are best constructed to totally eliminate excess drum ring. The REMO pinstripes (especially the bass head) have 'cracked' on the bottom surface of the head (the surface not being struck) causing the head to lose all tonal quality and become useless. If anyone knows of any percussion shops or drum equipment manufacturers (Ludwig ??) who make a product similar to the oil-filled REMO pinstripe heads, I would certainly appreciate their reply. Thanks, Brian Durnell BTL-CB cbosgd!bdd
