[net.periphs] PC7300, DOS-73, SCSI

slif@oliveb.UUCP (Michael Slifcak) (09/29/86)

I have some questions about the AT&T PC 7300 and its peripherals:

  1. Does the DOS-73 coprocessor board use the floppy disk any
faster than a PC-compatible would ? Can the board use the
floppy directly ? Are interrupts ala *BM supported fully ?
can things like VDISK or RAMDISK be used with it ?
Can it use the parallel printer port directly ?

  2. Does anyone know about a SCSI interface for the PC 7300 ?
I have an ANSI tape drive with a SCSI interface card which
would be faster and more reliable than floppies for backing up
      the 7300.

  3. What are your experiences with installing 30-50 Meg half height
hard drives inside the 7300 ? What would you do differently, or
what would you recommend (procedure and hardware).

Thanks for relating your experiences. Please e-mail me directly.
