Description: ixn5c is a VAX 11/780 running USG UNIX 4.0. It is used
primarily to support the physical and circuit design departments
working on #5 ESS, the Bell System's newest, digital, Electronic
Switching System. ixn5c is a VAX re-incarnation of ihn5c, an
11/70, which was not previously on Usenet.

Location: Although we are the first Indian Hill South (IX) Usenet site,
we are just across the street to the south from Bell Lab's Indian
Hill (IH) facility, and across the street to the east from Indian
Hill West (IW), in Naperville, Illinois. As the building is
completed, some other #5-related machines will be joining us in
the move from IH to IX.

Connections: Like most of the IH/IW/IX Usenet sites, we receive news
from the rest of Usenet through a primary relay site, which is
currently ihps3. However, we can exchange mail directly with
anyone on the Bell Labs Network (e.g. ihnss, harpo, ihux*, houx*,
inux*, etc.), although it may be necessary to use our old name
of ihn5c for a while from some machines.

Willingness to connect to new sites: I'm willing, but it's not up to
just me. Call and we'll see what can be done.
