Two years ago I had the privilege to hear a digital master tape at Soundstream. The tape was a "sampler" of Soundstream products: Tim Weisberg, the 1812 Overture, etc. I was blown away by the absolute clarity and fidelity of the sound. Since that experience, I've decided to save my money until end to end digital catches on in the recording industry. (This is quite a requirement though, including reasonably priced equipment and a good catalog of music.) I've had it with crappy vinyl and freaky mechanical devices and I'm willing to wait for the real thing. paul j. drongowski utah-cs!pjd
