Name of site: hssg40 What the site is all about: Hospital Systems Study Group is forty-person, non-profit corporation formed fifteen years ago. We are involved in the provision of interactive information systems to health-care institutions. Since 1977, the development of such systems at HSSG has been based on UNIX. We are currently on V7, but expect to be moving to System III in a few weeks. We will also be a vendor of UNIX System III binary licenses before the end of 1982. We have invested several man-years in the maintenance and improvement of UNIX, both to make the system more "turn-key" and to improve kernel performance and reliability. We have also done a great deal of work to provide high-performance multi-user database access and "application generation" tools for our hospital applications.
