Name of site. noscvax What the site is all about. The Naval Ocean Systems Center is one of about 10 Navy laboratories which are the primary centers for research and development for the U.S. Navy. NOSC has been using Unix for software development and networking applications since the early days of version 6. Current interests in the computer science department lie in communications, networking, office automation, distributed databases, and improved software development tools. This VAX 11/780 (noscvax) is one node of an internal network of machines running Unix, at least one of which is an ARPAnet host. Name of contact person at site.
