What the site is all about:
Lachman Associates, Inc. is a systems software and consulting firm
employing over 30 Unix(tm) systems consultants. We have offices in
Chicago's western suburbs and Denver's northern suburbs. Our firm is
six years old, specializing in operating systems, computer languages,
graphics, networking, real-time and database systems. While we do
most of our new development on microprocessors, we also have extensive
experience with DEC systems and IBM mainframes.

Willingness (or lack thereof) to connect to new sites that
want to join usenet. If you run uucp, tell if new sites can
call you, if you will poll them, what your policy is:
We are willing to exchange mail with other local
sites. Please contact us if you are interested in
	polling or netnews distribution.

If on the arpanet, are you willing to forward news on to new
sites by establishing an arpanet usenet connection?
We are not on the arpanet.

	-----------------------------------------------------

We have additional processors on order and would like to
informally reserve a group of sitenames starting with
"lai". "laidbak" will probably be our main Usenet pipeline,
but we have "laidown" in Urbana, and will be adding "laidup"
in Denver in the next few months.

I think that the "lai" sites should get the award for the most original
site names on the net. (laidbak, laidown, laidup)
The people running this site are certainly not lai-z in the brain.
