Name of site. ndcuts What the site is all about. ndcuts is an Amdahl UTS system in for evaluation. It is an artificial name to differentiate it from CMS users on the same physical host (NDCVM). NDCVM is an IBM 4341 running VM/CMS for use by the ITT Programming Technology Center, Network Development Center folks. "ndcuts" is not guaranteed to be around forever, but I thought I'd announce it anyway just because I think this is the first UTS system on the net. Name of contact person at site. John Varanelli Electronic mail address of contact person. [...!]ittvax!ndcuts!johnv (on UTS) [...!]ittvax!ndcvm!spmaint (on VM/CMS) [...!]ittvax!johnv (directly on VAX/UNIX) U.S. Mail address of contact person. ITT Programming Technology Center 1000 Oronoque Lane Stratford, Ct.06497 Phone number of contact person. (203) 375-0200 X.284 Systems with whom news articles are exchanged. (what kind of link, who the neighbor(s) are). News is exchanged only with ittvax at present. Forwardings to other UTS systems are possible in the future. ittvax is connected by a 4800 baud synchronous modem/DUP11. "UREP" from Penn. State U. emulates RSCS/VMB protocol. Systems with whom mail is exchanged. (what kind of link, who the neighbor(s) are, what frequency of connection, whether or not you'll pass outside mail along). Mail is exchanged with "ittvax", and with VM/CMS users on NDCVM (who also can be reached directly from ittvax). Mail can also go out to several other systems, but as yet they cannot reply. Mail links are "tinker-toys" at present, and are not terribly reliable. Willingness (or lack thereof) to connect to new sites that want to join usenet. If you run uucp, tell if new sites can call you, if you will poll them, what your policy is. If on the arpanet, are you willing to forward news on to new sites by establishing an arpanet usenet connection? NDCVM only connects via RSCS/3270 direct links. If you want to publish your uucp phone number, login, and password, include that info. UUCP will not run on UTS. (God! Editing on a 3278 remote is horrible!)
