The old 4.1bsd fish(6) manual page had the following advice: Saying `p' as a first guess puts you into `pro' level; The default is pretty dumb. The IBM RT PC manual has clarified this a bit: Entering *p* as your first move gives you the professional level game. We join the professional level fish game already in progress: These cards are marked! They a mess! A chocolate mess! It's OK boys, the dirty dealer meant no harm...
