We've been receiving notes for the past year or so, and we've been
sending them out for a few months. Our newsite announcement is late
for silly internal reasons. After much weeping and gnashing of teeth,
here it is:

Site: ccvaxa
			Compion Corporation

What we're all about:
We provide software, hardware, and consulting for custom contracts and
commercial sale, with special expertise in networks, Unix porting,
verifiably secure operating systems, security technology, software
	tools, and software development methodology.

We sell "The Protector," a turnkey security system that prevents,
detects, and records attempted computer abuse. It adds host-independent
individual accountability and access control to any computer system.
We also sell "Access," a software system that provides DEC VAX/VMS with
an interface to the ARPANET or local area networks.

Compion employs 65 full-time scientists, managers, and support staff
members, and was founded in 1977 under the name Digital Technology
	Incorporated.

Systems with whom notesfiles are exchanged:
uiucdcs --- uucp (it polls us on demand)

Systems with whom mail is exchanged:
laidown --- uucp (it polls us twice daily)

We don't have a dialer and are very low on disk space, hence we cannot
pass notes on to other sites.

We have a direct notesfiles feed from U. of I., and hence, never
see raw news articles.

Uucp runs chroot'ed into a filesystem we call "the box", from which
there is no escape.
