Folks I running Ultrix V1.2 on a VAX 11/785. I getting a lot of soft and hard errors when the incremental and full dumps are done. Is anybody else also having problems of this kind? It seems to have less problems when a GRAHM tape is used as opposed to BASF tapes. I make sure that the tape heads are cleaned after every reel and the DEC Hardware person tells me that there is no problems with the TU81. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We have the same soft/hard error problems during full/incremental dumps. Our DEC engineer is unable to find anything wrong with our TU-81. We have had no problems doing restores from any of our dump tapes.
