Name of site: mordor

What the site is all about:
The S-1 project at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory
performs research into high speed mainframe computers. The
S-1 architecture allows operation of a processor alone or
(through a crossbar switch) with other S-1 processors. At
present the S-1 Mark IIa is nearing completion; software for
this machine will include UNIX (for the uniprocessor) and a
locally-developed system called Amber (for both the uni-
	and multiprocessor configurations).

Systems with whom mail is exchanged.
(what kind of link, who the neighbor(s) are, what frequency
of connection, whether or not you'll pass outside mail along):
We are connected to the MILNET as "s1-c"; however, we are
not set up to forward mail between networks.

Willingness (or lack thereof) to connect to new sites that
want to join usenet. If you run uucp, tell if new sites can
call you, if you will poll them, what your policy is.
If on the arpanet, are you willing to forward news on to new
sites by establishing an arpanet usenet connection?
We have no autodialer, and hence cannot call other sites.
We do not receive "fa" newsgroups via USENET since these
are received by direct mail over the ARPANET/MILNET.
Until the internals of USENET are better understood locally
we would prefer not to forward news.

If you want to publish your uucp phone number, login, and password,
include that info.
