I have a problem with an 8300 running Ultrix 2.0. It doesn't seem to
recognize my versatec device. Coming up into single-user it is not
even recognized as a valid device, no error messages are produced and
nothing appears in the device init phase. The configuration used is:
device vp0 at uba0 csr 0177514 vector vpintr vpintr
Can anyone with some versatec experience lend a few pointers as to why its
not recognized. What does it take for a device to be recognized? (I must be
conflicting with something else). Running under VMS shows no problems and
the versatec works great so at least I have a good device. I must confess to
being unfamiliar with this 8300 architecture.
