We are developing a portable UNIX workstation that is 68000 based and will run UNIX System V. We use a Masscomp MC500 for development, and for the connection to USENET. I am in a GTE area, while qusavx is in a Bell area. It typically takes 8 hours (at 1200 baud) for uucp to transmit 150 files because of the inordinate number of retries it has to do. Therefore, I have had to turn off some of the high volume newsgroups for the moment until I can find a better solution.
