We run system V, release 2, version 2 with a UDA 50,(ra60 and 81 disk drives).
Starting last week, we started getting regular system crashes (like once a
day) with the message
Machine software error: Protection violation on on interrupt stack
(note: "on on" is not MY typo.)
Sometimes previous to this we get a trap 8, with the associated "panic".
I looked up trap 8 and it is a segmentation fault.
Can anyone give me a hint as to where to look? We have run all the dec
diagnostics and the machine seems to come up clean.
Perhaps unrelated, but perhaps not, users of the system have been complaining
about losing characters. I tried increasing the "clists"parameter to 600 (!),
we only have 16 terminal lines, but the problem persists.
