At work we are running Zeus 3.2 on a System 8000 and HP-UX on an HP9000. I have tried to get the uucp's to talk but there seems to be a problem. uucp -r1 -shp -x5 claims that the login was completed but there doesn't seem to be anyway to see debug information AT THE CALLED machine. Note that the Zeus is a system 3 derivative (I think). Does anyone know how to get debug info AFTER connection ? Does anyone have any experience on the Zeus side that might be able to shed some light on my darkness ? If e-mail fails (when?) please write or call 3906 Calle Tereon Las Vegas Nevada 89103 (702) 367-3247 gracias in advance

If you create a file AUDIT in /usr/spool/uucp, it will record debug info on that side for the most recent transaction in which debugging was specified on the other side. This assumes, of course, that the transaction proceeded far enough to allow the -x option to be passed. (In the initial S interchange: Sfoo -x9 ..) Also, you might want to try a higher debug level than 5; maybe 9.... Good luck! -John Owens Virginia Tech Communications Network Services OWENSJ@VTVM1.BITNET owens@vtopus.cs.vt.edu +1 703 961 7827 john@xanth.UUCP
