Does anyone out there have any experience with putting an RP06 on a Vax unibus? I have a Vax 11/730, with an R80 and an rl02, running 4.3BSD. My problem is that I have no disk space (as you can imagine). I also have an RP06, and a unibus controller from a PDP-11/44 (Is that an RH11?). I would like to put this RP06 and controller on the vax, but don't know if my proposed configuration will work out. I would imagine that I could use the `up' driver, if I could make the physical connection work out. If anyone has experience or suggestions, could you please let me know? The controller from the PDP-11 is not a massbus if it is an RH-11. The RH-11 and the RH-20 were the controllers that connected the massbus devices to the memory. The architecture between unibus and massbus is completely different. (This is from my memory about the massbus from my days as a DEcsystem-10 systems programmer. It could be that what you want is possible, but I don't think so.) Richard H.
