WYSE - 50 and CURSES Problems under XENIX ---------------------------------------------------- Problem - 1 I still have not resolved the problem of correctly displaying and addressing the REVERSE VIDEO on the WYSE-50 terminal, as well as correctly positioning on the screen under XENIX. I have reasonably portable code, so that positioning works O.K. under SYSTEM-V type box, however the terminal still flashes. I was trying to substitute into: cur_term->str.Enter_standout_mode to the value of the protected attribute, but that is a dangerous operation since the protected attribute may be composed of more characters than reverse video. This is driving me nuts, and SCO has told me that I should upgrade to the newest version of XENIX (another $300.00+) so that I will be able to use Terminfo. What about my clients that do not have terminfo on their systems. If you know how to get around the magic cookie while using CURSES please let me know, but do not send me termcap entries for ANSI terminals or Tandy dt100 (I'm joking I still appreciate your trying to help.) 2. What is the equivalent of the "flushinp()" function under XENIX, do you have a piece of code that does the same thing? Thanks in advance. Call me collect (in the U.S. only) if you have solutions ASAP. (619) - 452 - 8649 Mike Deutsch
