<look who's here> Name of site. cs44 What the site is all about. "cs44" is the pdp11/44 at the Department of Computer Science at the Univeristy of South Carolina. Usceast is our sister machine, but the user population of cs44 is largely graduate students, as opposed to faculty. We run Dec v7m unix, with hopes of 2.9bsd someday. The news environment is being extended to this machine from usceast on a trial basis. If the disk load gets too big or if people abuse the privilege, cs44 may go away. Name of contact person at site. Ken Sallenger or Ted Nolan Electronic mail address of contact person. usceast!prog U.S. Mail address of contact person. If you run uucp, tell if new sites can call you, if you will poll them, what your policy is. If on the arpanet, are you willing to forward news on to new sites by establishing an arpanet usenet connection? Anything of this sort would be done through usceast, not cs44.
