Does anyone have a utility to convert the HOSTS.TXT file from SRI-NIC into the format required for 4.2 BSD /etc/hosts and /etc/networks ??? I tried awk, but the special cases (multiple IP addresses and multiple names on the same line) overwhelmed my limited abilities with awk.... John D. See htable(1).

Assuming that this isn't an April Fools Joke (it seems to have come from the Internet), try the program /etc/htable. That's what it lives for. -Ron

Hi, Look for a program called /etc/htable. If you've got a 4.2 based system, you ought to have it. Ted Nolan ted@braggvax.arpa
