Can anyone give me the reason behind the built-in dependency in make for the file 'markfile'? It seems that markfile is dependent on markfile.o, and the command list tries to find the SCCS id lines and generate an object module?! If anyone can shed some light on this for me, I'd appreciate it. Also, there appears to be a '-g' option (undocumented, of course :-) which automagically attempts an SCCS 'get' on a dependent when none of the rules are satisfied.
