What the site is all about.
This machine is managed by the Computer Systems Laboratory, an
outside research group (ORU) on the University of California at
Santa Barbara campus. It is used by practically all
departments on campus through activities ranging from word
processing, digital image processing, digital music/speech
processing, and software development, to name a few. The
Computer Systems Laboratory manages several other UNIX machines
(4 VAXen, 6+ SUNs) plus a myriad of peripheral devices (IIS
image processor, AP120B array processor, DSC speech processor).
All UNIX machines are connected via a local 10Mb Ethernet.

We are currenly running 4.2BSD on a VAX 780.

Willingness (or lack thereof) to connect to new sites that
want to join usenet. If you run uucp, tell if new sites can
call you, if you will poll them, what your policy is.
If on the arpanet, are you willing to forward news on to new
sites by establishing an arpanet usenet connection?
Depending on disk space and cpu cycle limitations, we
could service uucp sites that call us.

If you want to publish your uucp phone number, login, and password,
include that info.
        Please contact Anthony Discolo.
