Please, can somebody give me references of :

  1) good UNIX introductory books

  2) good UNIX reference manuals (for advanced users) (tackling subjects
     as indexed file organization, ...)

  3) good "C under UNIX" books (tackling subjects as communication between
     concurrent processes, ...)

1. The UNIX Programming Environment by Kernighan & Pike.  (The classic)
2. Advanced UNIX Programming by Marc J. Rochkind.
3. C: An Advanced Introduction by Narain Gehani. (Intro to forking)
4. Network Programmer's primer
5. Streams programmer's primer (4 & 5 are publised by Pretice Hall)
6. Reliable Data Structures in C by Thomas Plum.
7. Variations in C by Steve Schustack. (This is a good "style" manual for C)
8. C Programming Language by Kernighan & Ritchie (This classic book has been
   						   revised)

I would suggest you  Groff and Weinberg book Called:
"Understanding UNIX- Conceptual Guide.,  It covers berkeley, system
V and Xenix too.

And for all the levels the Hayden publisher for the Waite Group 
books in UNIX.  They are good books that can refer to any problem
quickly.
