______________

Hopefully someone from CounterPoint will confirm this, but my copy of
CounterPoint documentation says the operating system is: C-XIX 3.0. It is
possible that they are selling two operating systems though.

The most awful (in my humble opinion :-) operating system that I have
seen which resembles UNIX is UniFLEX by Technical Systems Consultants.
While it resembles UNIX by virtue of commands and file structures, I believe
that it may in fact contain no proprietary AT&T code.

also add AOS and ACIS, which are IBM's names for a 4.x BSD
Unix product for the RT PC line (it's only available to Uni-
versities...)

...and somebody else mentioned AT&T's official position about UNIX(TM) System
being the only legit. name for The Real Thing. So does this mean I can go
introduce my own product and call it unix(TM) ??

Hey, it's MY idea!! I posted it first!! If you use "unix" all in lower case,
you owe me *big bucks* !!!

oops...that's "unix(TM)" all in lower case...

CTIX is the name that Convergent (formally Convergent Technologies)
uses for their variations of UNIX (tm).

Better make that Primix (sp?) instead - I've no idea how Un*xish it is, but
hopefully more so...

>Primos Pr1me
..."PRIMOS" is the native O/S on the Pr1me computers. There is a "Primix"
which is a Un*x emulator that runs on top of PRIMOS.
