[comp.unix.wizards] Hung up port

dan@hrc.UUCP (Dan Troxel VP) (11/27/88)

Off and on, the modem calling my feed will not hangup after a failed
transmission. How to I drop DTR on the modem from a remote site, ie: not
having to go the the computer room, and physically reset the modem to
disconnect the line? I have a feeling that you can use stty, but it
fails me to recall how to do this.

Thanx in advance.

Try setting the baud rate to 0 on the modem line. It works for me (using
System V/R2).
