I recently posted a query regarding the occasional inability of
lp to find files to print. I thank those of you who posted/mailed
suggestions; two of the postings pointed me in the right direction.
The problem boiled down to the absence of search permissions
for "other" for the dot (.) directory. Changing the "." directory permissions
from drwx------ to drwx-----x enabled lp to find the files.
