[comp.unix.wizards] Bad tty modes when calling emacs from curses and CTRL/Z hits

I have a curses program that puts the TTY into cbreak mode, and I
sometimes do system("$EDITOR").  If the user does a CTRL/Z,
upon return the TTY modes are all screwed up.  My guess is that
curses and emacs are playing dueling ioctl's.  What should I
do?  This happens on Sun3.5 and Ultrix2.1.
