Dear Sir/Madam,
At 11am EST on Thursday, February 14, 1985 (Valentine's Day),
the site known as "utcsrgv" will become "utcsri" to accommodate the
administration, as the organization "The Computer Systems Research
Group" became "The Computer System Research Institute", affiliated
with the University of Toronto, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Initially, we ask that you handle both the names "utcsrgv"
and "utcsri" for a month or so, to allow mail already in transit
to arrive undisturbed.
Please change the following, as it applies to you:
1) uucp - modify your L.sys file and USERFILE to contain an entry
identical to the one you currently have for "utcsrgv",
but replace the site name with "utcsri". If you wish to
change our login name, that is fine, but please let us
know if you do. After a month, simply delete the entry
for "utcsrgv".
2) networks - modify your /etc/hosts file so that the official name
of the our site is "utcsri" and include an alias of
"utcsrgv".
If you run sendmail, remember to refreeze the configuration
file.
