Hello from Spain: I would like to know if it is possible to allocate a terminal to one user, for example: if nobody is working on /dev/ttyd01, this file is owned by root, so I can't read from that line. If root changes the owner of /dev/ttyd01 it should work, but it doesn't, just because in a few seconds something from the operating system changes again the owner of the file, this is, its owner is root again. I am using an HP-9000, with an (Unix-like?) hp-ux operating system. If anyone had the same problem, please tell me how to solve it. I would like also to contact with persons working with HP-9000 (hp-ux) and with a VMEbus and Image processing cards. Thanks. Adolfo Otero.
