I have completed work on a replacement for the passwd(1) command which includes password checking to disallow the kind of passwords the infamous Worm of November found. Now I would like to have some beta testers tell me where it is broken. The 'npasswd' program has already been tested quite a bit, but I would like feedback before I release it to the world in general. Npasswd can change passwords in standard V7 style password files, 4.3BSD hashed password files and Yellow Pages network password files.
