[comp.unix.wizards] Booting from the net

yedidya@bimacs.BITNET (Yedidya Israel) (06/18/89)

[ I posted a query to comp.unix.ultrix but seems it did not reach it ]

We want to boot microvax2000 from the net with a microvax-3 server
running ultrix3.0. I used the dms utility to prepare the environment
(root, swap and dump are on the server). After the client boots,
identifies all devices and shouts that date lost 150 days, it gets
stuck.

I put some commands in /etc/rc, /.profile and /.login, to create a
file in /tmp, the file was not created (as far as the server, where
its root resides on, is concerned).

Any idea whats going on?
