[comp.unix.wizards] My c.u.w question about adding code to the kernel

usenet@usenet.umr.edu (usenet) (11/21/89)

My thanks to the following people for sending replies to my question:
Amos Shapir	amos@taux01.nsc.com, amos@nsc.nsc.com
shz@packard.att.com (Seth Zirin)
Terry Laskodi <terryl%tekcrl.labs.tek.com@RELAY.CS.NET>
netcom!hue@apple.com (Jonathan Hue )
Collin Park <collin%hpindda@sde.hp.com>

I was attempting to include things like read/write instead of calling the
internal kernal routines. For proper punishment, I promise to input
"I shall call internal kernel routines" 1000 times using the front-panel
buttons of an Altos.

I would have replied personally, but our good :-) mailer...........

Thanks,
Henry

As quoted from <365@umrisca.usenet.umr.edu> by usenet@usenet.umr.edu (usenet):

Run me by that again? Last time I saw a front-panel button on an Altos, it
was a reset button. Geez, first Jerry Gardner at Altos suggests that people
bitten by the "procdup" kernel bug get 64MB of RAM, now this.

1/2 ;-)
