Our role is to provide office computing services to many of the other departments. This includes word-processing (Uniplex) and database systems (Informix). We also do a fair amount of typesetting using troff. We support 3 VAX 750s and a VAX 730 running System V.2 UNIX (in fact it is the Instruction Set's NUXI) and some 13 Altos 986s running Xenix. Systems with whom news articles are exchanged: ist Systems with whom mail is exchanged: ist on request inset daily textms daily (Text Management Services in Huddersfield part of the H Charlesworth & Co. group of printers, who typeset our troff work). Various vaxen and altos machines on this and other Stock Exchange sites. Willingness to connect to other sites: For the moment we would like to get used to being members of the news network ourselves. We also have only limited disk space at the moment. So the answer has to be, sorry, but not for a while.
