I am trying to configure a UDA-50 + RA80 disk drive into my VAX 11/730 system. Everything seems ok on boot up, but within 24 hours i get the following messages and the system is hung. The problem was not with switch settings, but was a trouble with the physical drive. I think its call the maintenance folks time (sorry to say) > uda0 at uba0 csr 172150 vec 774, ipl 15 <<-- in exp box. This message is quite correct. There is only switch settings for the csr, not the vectore ( as in other old DEC products ). The csr HAS to be correct otherwise the system wouldn't even get this far, and the vector address is downloaded to the board. By the way, we retired the VAX 730. Dave Wallace
