My favorite jazz is on WXPN (11PM to 2AM - weeknights) at the University of Pennsylvania but I'm prejudiced because I do one the shows every other Friday. I also WRTI from Temple University (also in Philadelphia). RTI plays jazz about 18 hours a day during the week (real jazz without electronics or boring melodies). Onweekends they play a mixture of jazz, reggae, blues and other 3rd world music. But who cares, if you're in Ohio or California or Boston or New York, you will have a different favorite that I can't listen to for comparison. Take my word for it, though, Philly has some great jazz sounds on the air. In case you do make it to Phila. WXPN is a 88.9 (1000 watts gives them about a 20-30 mile radius) and WRTI is at 90.1 with 5000 watts.
