[comp.unix.wizards] Security hole

root@morwyn.UUCP (System Administrator) (06/06/91)

Someone had expressed concern to me about there being a security hole
in/with using the LP command (ie from a UUCP connection). Could
someone brief me on this hole (if it exists) and possibly a way to
mend it?

Thanks in advance...

If you normally send mail, etc as root, I would think you'd be more
worried about trojan horses than security holes!

I've heard of this too. I'd like to see a bit more discussion
in this area.
