I'm looking for programs to assist in porting other programs from Vax/Unix (UCB4.3, etc) to Pyramid machines. Specifically, programs that could be run on assembler output by language compilers to create Pyramid compilable code. To see what I'm trying to do, consider Franz Lisp, for instance: Code generation available for MC68000 and vax, generates berkley assembler code, which is then assembled. Would like to take the vax assembler code and make Pyramid assembler code. Any ideas? One obvious solution, is a macro package that will mangle vax assembler (of the ucb 4.3 variety) into pyramid assembler. A more elegant solution would be to go from vax assembler to c, pascal, or some other portable higher level language. What's been done? Any variations on this theme that I could work from? I'm NOT looking for disassemblers, but possibly uncompilers (to c, again) might help. I've looked in the Decus abstracts and have not found anything looking promising, yet. Your help is earnestly solicited. I don't think it's an impossible task, I just don't want to spend a lot of time doing it if it's already been done before!
