[comp.sources.wanted] Reading IBM-PC keyboard

jimb@tekigm2.UUCP (Jim Boland) (11/11/86)

I am looking for source code in C (preferably MSC) to read the keyboard
on the IBM-PC. This would be to read each key as it is pressed and then
to anyalyze which key was pressed. I believe this must be done using an
interrupt but I don't know which one or how to do it. I would like to be
able to see that famous keypad 5 key, also. I know the BIOS does not
let you know the "5" key was pressed but there is a way to recognize it.
Programs such as Crosstalk, Smartterm, and the program posted called IT
recognize it when you are doing vt100 emulation. The question is, "How
do they do it?"
