The Nova University Computer Center is currently researching the availability
of software packages for the administration of educational institutions.
The objectives at this time are to identify prospective systems for further
evaluation.
The following software components are desired:
1. Student Information System (Admissions, Registration, Grades, etc.)
2. Financial Information (AR, AP, GL, budgeting, Mgt. Reporting, etc.)
3. Financial Aid System (Need analysis, packaging, Fund distribution, etc.)
Candidate software packages should meet the following requirements:
1. Run on a VAX 11/785 in the VMS 4.4+ environment.
2. Contain completely *INTEGRATED* software components.
3. Include modifiable source code written in a high-level language.
4. Include programming & maintenance utilities for use by a DP staff.
(Query language, Report writer, Screen builder, Data conversion, etc.)
We welcome responses from vendors supplying these products and from satisfied/
dissatisfied customers of such products. We are especially interested in pack-
ages built using relational DBMS concepts.
