I wouldn't trust Nestle's as far as I could throw them. Giving free samples to local doctors doesn't necessarily cure any ills. We'll see.

For those who are interested, the latest issue of 'The New Internationalist' (which just reached me) is a special issue on the question of infant nutrition and the milk-products companies in particular. Includes many interesting articles, including a survey of countries summarising the extent to which they have enacted laws to enforce the recommendations of WHO on infants and breat-feeding. (Oddly the USA was the only country in the world to vote against the WHO recommendation. Seems the Reagan administration wants to study the issue more.) But several countries have laws which are rated as 'cosmetic, possibly dangerous'. The Boycott isn't over yet. Nestle's wouldn't be interviewed by NI, but written responses to some written questions. You should read them for yourselves. Julian Davies, Waterloo
